Well performance from Kings XI Punjab today with their well Bowling and Bating. It is First win this season for KXIP. Their bowlers set the match for them before openers played well to provide a strong platform for the chase. There comes handy when Murugan Ashwin took three quick wickets but Glenn Maxwell played a significant cameo to take Punjab past the target. Sadly this is Second successive loss for Rising Pune Supergiants.

Kings XI Punjab have performed well to keep Rising Pune Supergiants to 152. Though This is not a very big score on considering the kind of fire in their batting has, they should be able achieve the target. BCCI Offers To Use Sewage Water For Next IPL 2016 Matches In Maharastra :

BCCI(Board of control for cricket in India) on Tuesday told Bombay high court that it will use treated sewage water to maintain its pitches for the 2016 IPL( seventeen) matches to be played in Pune and Mumbai, also informed to the court that franchise (Kings XI Punjab) wants to shift all its three matches out of Nagpur that is Nine matches are to be played in Pune and eight in Mumbai.

Justice M S Karnik and V M Kanade were informed by senior advocate Rafiq Dada that BCCI requested the Royal Western India Turf Club to provide water from its sewage treatment plant at the Mahalaxmi racecourse.Dada said that they are not going to use tankers for now and informed, "Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) will provide 7 to 8 tankers of sewage treated water per day.

Since the government's affidavit was not ready The court is hearing a PIL by NGOs Loksatta Movement and Foundation for Democratic Reforms about the "misuse" of lakhs of litres of waters to maintain cricket pitches.

The court on hearing about this it lambasted the BCCI for wasting water to prepare pitches for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament, at a time when several parts of the state, including Thane, are facing an acute shortage and also directed the state government to commission an inquiry and find out whether water supplied for maintaining pitches for the matches is potable or non-potable.

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had made it clear that his government will not provide potable water for IPL matches in the state.

"Our government has taken a strong position in the court. Even if IPL matches are shifted, we have no problem," Fadnavis had said making his government's stand clear on the issue of wastage of water for maintaining pitches.

Earlier, the board had got a big relief after the court gave a go ahead to the first match of the upcoming ninth season of Indian Premier League (IPL) to be held on April 9 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

However, the court did not decide on the other IPL matches in the state.

CHECK : Kolkata Knight Riders vs Delhi Daredevils, 2nd Match of IPL 2016.

End of Match: Kolkata cruise to nine-wicket win Over Delhi(DD) [ Date:sunday, April 10 2016 ]

It was well performance from Delhi , Brad Hogg troubles both Samson and Negi, before the latter attempts to hit out of trouble and is beaten all ends up. Uthappa completes a simple stumping much to the delight of my colleague who has him in his fantasy league. Carlos, the big unit, Brathwaite (as Manjrekar calls him) makes it 6,6,6,6,6 when he smokes his first delivery (off Chawla) over the deep mid-wicket fence and then almost immediately fails to read a googly and is caught plumb in front of the wicket. Six down and Dravid appears to have aged further!

Daredevils [ 98/10 (17.4) ]

Chawla 4-0-21-2

Andre Russell - 3-0-24-3

John Hastings - 2.4-1-6-2

Brad Hogg- 4-1-19-3

Piyush Chawla - 4-0-21-2

Kolkata Knight Riders 99/1 (14.1 Ovs)Gambhir 38 (41)

Robin Uthappac 35(33) Pandey15(12)Total 99 (1 wkts, 14.1 Ov)

It was a walk in the park for the two-time champs. Delhi started really well and then imploded to collapse to their seventh sub-100 total. Russell and Hogg, three wickets apiece, ran riot amongst the Delhi batsmen, whose daredevilry led to their downfall. This was a Kolkata surface that aided bounce and took turn. Once Kolkata had restricted their opposition to 98, there was no coming back. Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa added 69 for the the first wicket to all but confirm the result. Kolkata join Pune at the top of the table with 2 points.
